FALL INTERNSHIP: SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER


We are looking for a dynamic individual who takes initiative, feels passionately about their work and will support the Factual Development team
on a variety of new and ongoing projects. Our ideal candidate has previous exposure to the industry, and is eager to learn and adapt to the fast-paced, ever changing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the department’s filing systems, databases, and calendars

Coordinating travel and meetings

Development research as requested

Supporting ongoing production matters as needed

Assisting and liaising with other departments and teams

Basic casting research and outreach as needed

Covering front reception / answering phones on occasion as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Preferably someone with a Radio, TV or Journalism background

Candidate must be passionate about Factual content

Excited and motivated researcher

A self-starter with a keen interest to learn

A people person with the ability to communicate

confidently and professionally in person, via telephone and via e-mail

Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and problem-solving approach

Not afraid to pick up the phone and chase a story

Passion for story telling

Familiar with Crooked Horse’s Factual slate

Competence in Microsoft Office products

Helpful to have a basic background or understanding in editing rough timelines (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.)

INTERNS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Network with the employees at Boat Rocker Media, build

connections and gain exposure to different opportunities in the industry

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

3 month internship that will start in September and end in December

Compensation will be discussed with the successful candidate
